Help Us Help Our Seniors Thrive!

Are you a friendly team player who has a heart for supporting and encouraging our senior community? We would love to hear from you! Please take a look at the current volunteer positions available and reach out when you are ready.

Volunteer Opportunies

Kitchen Help:

 5 am to 9 am: packaging food, meal prep for home-delivered meals, meal prep for lunch

10 am to 2 pm: serving lunch, washing dishes, cleaning up

*Kitchen staff in the morning is highly needed. Volunteers will need a food handler card to work in the kitchen*

 

Front Desk:

10 am to 1 pm: greeting people as they walk in, making sure everyone is checking in, helping with the check-in process if necessary using a computer kiosk system.

Lunch Desk:

11 to 1 pm: make sure everyone is signing in for lunch, make change for donations, and receive payments for visitors under 60 years.

Volunteers will be required to complete a fingerprint background check. 

*Highly Needed*

Gift Shop:

Tue, Wed, Thur 11 am to 3 pm: Help organize inventory, act as a cashier, and display creation.

Volunteers will be required to complete a fingerprint background check. 

Thai Chi Instructor:

Set own schedule, need to know how to work with seniors and know what their bodies can handle.

Commodities:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays 9-12: drivers to pick up commodities, sort out and separate food to be distributed. Volunteer drivers are needed. All volunteer drivers must have a valid license and a clean driving record. 

Miscellaneous:

Lawn care: summertime to cut grass (as needed)

Area beautification: fall/summer pick up leaves (as needed)

Activities:

If you are someone that has a cool hobby and wants to share it with others so they can learn how to do it. An instructor for a certain type of art and want to share your skills. Please contact us to discuss further.
