On March 22nd, 2021 the center reopened after a year of being closed to the public due to the pandemic. With the reopening, we are happy to start once again offering activities and classes once again.

We are in the process of rebuilding our class offerings and will update the activity list as the information becomes available.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to teach a class please call the center at 907-745-5454.

Diabetes Prevention Program

1-hour presentation on diabetes prevention presented by Leslie Shallcross.

Gardening Classes

Where:

Palmer Senior Center

Come learn about planting, and growing your own veggies and flowers! Soil, pot, seeds, and coaching all included.

The cost is $5.00 for each class per person. The fee to be paid at the time of the event.

Mindfulness Water Colors

Come and learn how to create works of art with watercolors, while learning relaxing meditation techniques.

Monday

10 am Senior Strength

This class increases muscular strength and endurance. Instructor: Video Only at this time.

Tuesday

3 pm Zumba

The dance-based cardio class that targets fat loss and lean muscle toning in the upper body, lower body, and core. Instructor: In Person

Wednesday 

10 am A New You

Low impact full-body workout. Instructor: In Person

2 pm Yoga

Yoga classes are gentle and include yoga poses modified to individual’s needs, gentle movement sequences to help improve the body’s movement patterns, yogic breathing techniques, and guided relaxation. Instructor: In Person

Thursday

10 am Praise Through Movement

Christian Music and Dance Instructor: In Person

Friday

10 am Senior Strength
